Jerusalem, in my opinion, is far easier than the refugee issue. Israel and a future state of Palestine can share Jerusalem. Israel is responsable for Jewish and Christian sites, Palestine for Muslim ones. But, any demand for refugees to return to Israel proper are non starters. You will have to win the conflict on the battlefield. Israel, as a Jewish state, cannot absorb the refugees. Whether or not the 'refugees' even deserve this 'return' is not the issue. It is not a pragmatic solution for all parties. Compensation, with many other factors taken into account, is the more realistic option. The other factors in my opinion: Arab complicity in the pawn like nature of the 'refugees' last 58 years. UN complicity in the pawn like nature of the "refugees' last 58 years. Compensation to the Jewish 'refugees' from Arab countries. But, with all this written and even after reading some of the more negative posts. I think we are slowly getting on track.
