Khalid - The influx of the 1948 'refugees' and their decendants is a non starter as it would destroy the Jewish nature of Israel. I know you know this. Arguing over who was right or wrong for their plight is not efficient as I know many, many Arab's who agree that there is plenty of blame to go around. But, because it is an issue so core to the Palestinians it has to be addressed in a manner that both sides can live with. Returning to a state of Palestine in the West or Gaza is obvious. Should there be some sort of financial settlement as well? To be determined by negiotiations. I am amazed that there is no discussion of the Jewish refugess from Arab countries. About 700,000 were forced out with no legal or econic recourse after 1948. Of course, Israel absorbed the Arab Jews while the Arab world and the UN locked away the Palestinian Arabs in camps to fester as political pawns. What of the Kurds? How about the refugees of the India Pakistan war of Independance?
