You seem to think, that all the people of Gaza need, is to be able to pass through the checkpoints again, so that they can earn an unsure living as day-laborers in Israel. You say that if they choose "better leadership" this bright and shining future could be theirs again. You do not understand that it is exactly this position, as the lowest class of laborers in a land that used to be theirs, that makes them revolt. It is not a future dream that ?better leadership? could offer them: It is the nightmare they have lived in for the last 60 years. The willingness of Fatah to change leave armed struggle behind in favor of the negotiating table has offered the Palestinians nothing. That?s why the people of Gaza (70% of whom are refugees, never forger that!) chose Hamas. They are not going to lie down and be day-laborers again in Israel, not after operation Cast Lead.
