Of course it's horrifying that people, and Jews in particular, would place their children in peril by bringing them to an unprotected outpost in the midst of implacable enemies. It's the equivalent of cult-like suicide and infanticide on the part of the parents. The only choices are to forcibly remove the children from their, in effect, abusive parents (it is abuse to endanger your child) or to let them go. But the ONLY thing that makes no sense is to have this problem drag on for another 50 or 100 years, at the cost of thousands of lives (including OUR children) to place our soldiers, our sons, in harm's way, and to have repeated and unending war, all to protect their nutty cultist agenda. We have a country to run and families to raise- we can't simply say that the future existence of Israel will depend on the whims of the most extreme among us because of a false sense of compassion= false because it ignores the safety, the lives and futures of the vast majority of Israel.
