In the 1970's and 1980's ,the western world had little sympathy with the Palastinians, particularly when they were hijacking and blowing up airliners. Sentiment was strong for the jewish cause, particularly after the holocaust. There was also a fair bit of Arab Xenophobia. Sentiments have shifted, particularly when it has been recognised that creation of the state of Israel has displaced and disenfrancised millions. The aggression , arrogance of Israel, combined with an apparent disregard of those of any other tribe, have completed the transformation. Time for some hard introspection. The times have changed, and you will sink like a stone if Israel continues along its current course.
