As a football fan I thought, first and foremost, that it was a pittiful statement from the club, basically passing on all resposibility to the authorities rather than taking a lead; and at least saying something along the lines that anybody identified could be banned from the club. I watch from a afar and I despair at the moral mess that Israel is descending into it, the cofused paranoia, the inability to have any kind of perspective about itself, to pull its head out of the sand and see the big picture. You might say, you dont live here what do you know?... I would say to you, if you lived outside of Israel, with the benifit of a wider perspective, you might see things differently. Your cocktail of conspiracies is a rediculous excuse for what was an ugly episode by any estimation. There is no world-wide plot to destroy Israel, people are not inately anti-semetic, this is poison floating around in your head. It makes me laugh when people go on about the left wing and the politically correct being this all powerful entity; the reality is that the world has been devastated by right wing econmic and polictical policies and the left wing is nowhere. The myth that they run the media is more nonsense. You probably have more in common with the Arab cleaner then you realise. While you squabble with Arabs and left wing 'traitors' somwhere a very rich man is rolling a cigar between his fingers and laughing his a** off.
