'Many Arab MKs do not recognize the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state. ' That's true enough -- even if they don't say so openly, I'll grant that many Arab MK's probably aren't the staunchest Israel-fans around. However, bear in mind the state of Israel was imposed on the Arab popluation by force. One could argue that for this reason Israel should never have been established as a democracy. However it was established as a democracy -- and given that, it's absurd to demand that the Arabs elect MK's who are loyal supporters of Israel. About the most that can be demanded is what is demanded -- that they not openly conspire with Israel's enemies.
