"Is 'occupation' really the cause of the violence?" (FOX to Indrajaya) I am not sure it is. But what I am sure of, absolutely, is that Occupation is the one factor which makes it possible to exist, for only an Arab ruler /leader can quash Arab terrorism, provided of course he has a state to rule over, free of foreign settlements populated by foreign settlers protected by an occupying army. Remember Black September, in Jordan, 1970, and the way Hafez al-Assad broke a Muslim Brotherhood uprising in Hama, February 1982. What King Hussein did, no Israeli PM could have done, even with IDF occupying the Jordanian territory for 40 years, not even after having sowed Israeli settlements all over Jordan. As long as there are outposts and settlements, there will be occupation, no Palestinian state, and no peace for Israel.
