First off, hello, and I want to say that in general I appreciate the tone of debate on this forum, as opposed to the venom some would spit. I do empathize with the displaced Arab population. But, in your question, to make it a closer analogy, if I were living in NC (USA), and Muslims/Arabs/Indians/whoever moved into my neighborhood, and an angry hate mob, came through and told me I should leave so as not to be considered "a collaborator" or accidentally hurt or whatever excuse the current claim is for the departure from my/their home, and I decided to leave for Canada. I didnt pay taxes, fees, etc. on my NC property, and so it was repossessed and sold at auction- to those new neighbors who were able to survive the angry mob. Then I find out that the angry mob didnt scare off/kill my new neighbors, and I came back and said "just kidding, can I have my house back?" I know this seems kind of silly, but so does the idea that you should welcome back a people who advocated and in some cases participated in the attempted slaughter of you, your family, and indeed your entire people.
