Hi Dorothy- I am puzzled. You wrote "Do you know that over 1,000 Israelis have been killed just the past 4 1/2 years in violent attacks?" I do not believe this is correct. Recently, the Associated Press published statistics showing that between February 2004 and March 2005, 103 Israelis and 736 Palestinians died. (I'm citing the numbers from memory, but I know they're very close if not exact). In two months during that period, the Palestinian monthly death toll exceeded the Israeli death toll for the entire year. I try to follow events in Israel as closely as I can without living there. I do not recall any major attacks in the prior 3.5 years that could get the Israeli death toll to over 1,000. However, I've been wrong on more than one occasion. I don't mean to minimize Israeli deaths. Even one civilian death is too many. Please provide me with a citation supporting your statement. I am not suggesting that you are trying to mislead anyone. I just would like to clarify this issue. I would also like to see the statistics your source has on Palestinian casualties. Thanks, Rick
