I love it when people like Deborah say "end the occupation" and similar things, because it truly shows the world's problem with Israel -- and it is comprehension of Israel's problem. Israel has been trying to live in peace with its neighbors since 1948 when it was created -- the occupation is only a result of a failed attempt by the Arab states surrounding Israel to conquer it. That's it. Now Israel has a real problem regarding the Palestinians -- the problem is that they don't negotiate well -- they are the losers in this whole mess but don't seem to realize how much they are suffering (while ironically, they do know enough to tell the world of their troubles). As such, Israel has a serious problem trying to talk to them - Israel is willing to give up most of what they want -- but it doesn't have to. Israel has security. Israel is stronger. Israel can crush the Palestinians --- just so you're aware of the reality. All that being said, you and I both know Israel wants to talk.
