Interesting posts from you both. North and South poles. I am a Jewish Republican from Chicago. I have been very reluctant to give Obama any credit especially when it comes to Israel. His lack of a voice on the subject was concerning. It will be interesting to see what he says. The deaths of Palestinian citizens is tragic and Obama will definately speak to their hardships. The problem, Concerned, is that the Palestinian 'innocents' are put in harm's way by their 'militants'. Most objective people feel that while Israel has faults it is the responsability of the Palestinian leadership to behave more appropriately. Anyone who claims that Hamas can be a partner in peace is not listening. Obama from a 'war on terror' perspective is very concerning as well. While I acknowledge his ability to speak and connect and for the most part I think he is what he says he is I am not convinced he can lead us during this time of war. And make no mistake, the western world is at war.
