A complete military victory is not possible in this conflict, without maybe using nuclear arms. The WWII was a war against the armies and governments; in the Arab/Israeli conflict it's a war agains all Palestinians and possibly many of the 1.5 billion Muslims. We can see that in other parts of the world where a similar warfare was conducted, there was no victory: Vietnam, Iraq and even Afghanistan are good examples and even the war of the British against America in 1776. A closer scenary is Northern Ireland where terrorism was rampant. After both sides got exhausted from constant warfare an imperfect peace was achieved, although not every side feels that it is fair and just. But the majority rules. The Middle East reaches the point where all military options were exhausted. It's time for compromise.
