I can tell you about the statistics to your question only here in Australia. A majority of inter-faith marriages between Jews and Gentiles fail. In many cases the breakdown comes immediately after the Jewish spouse gains Australian citizenship. In other cases, the non-Jewish spouse is treated with condemnation by the Jewish family, placing severe strain on the couple and their marriage. The non-Jewish spouse and the offspring of these inter-faith marriages MUST be cultivated. The destruction of not doing so is tremendous when there are children involved. I wish I could tell you my story and that of many others in my suituation, but let me tell you, bringing in a new gene pool does not protect against genetic issues.
