Arnold, The Arab states had no moral obligation to accept half of Palestine being given to Jews. Jews only made up 10% of Palestine in 1915, and this was after decades of Zionist immigration. The land was rightfully the Arabs'. Most of the Jews were foreigner, and some ancient, religious claim to the land is not going to persuade those whose immediate ancestors lived there to give it up.
