"Oh no, it is only the JEWS that organize to influence politics...You people are hypocrites!" Speaking for myself and leaving aside the relevance of your examples (I haven't noticed that Chirac has a whole lot of pull on Capitol Hill or in the media), I don't find anything particularly wrong in Israel's supporters lobbying as hard as they can for Israel's interests -- or what they perceive to be Israel's interests. What I object to is how no one is permitted to observe how effective this lobbying is, or to demand that Congress submit to it less slavishly. After all, I find nothing immoral in Exxon lobbying either. I would object if I was vilified for even saying that they are lobbying, and further vilified if I say that they are getting their way too much.
