Angela, it seems you are not the only one who heard,with astounding disbelief, that what happened in that Baghdad synagogue was a part of an Israeli scheme to promote Iraqi-Jewish imigration to Israel. My father who happened to work there in the fifties told me this story first hand. As much as I am apt not to believe this, knowing and realizing strong jewish fraternal ties among all jews, yet one can still detect some truth in it, based on what Israel can and is ready to do to secure what she " believes " is right for her future as a state .I can only wonder : what about those big slogans of the settlers that stresses out that a jew will never uproot a jew, or kill another jew, Pitty , isn't it.
