    I respect your choices as I respect choices of everybody...but you should recognize it's strange to define oneself as a zionist and to refuse to emigrate to Israel. Before Israel existed, or for people in communist countries, it was difficult or impossible to make their aliah, now even some foreign governments (like US and French ones) give out money for this, not talking about Israel. I don't think your comparison with irish people or Americans with irish origins is relevant : you don't have the equivalent of Sharon in Ireland telling American Irishes to immigrate as soon as possible because of the danger of living in the USA. Ireland uses the US "Irishes" for lobbying, but Ireland does not need any justification to exist. On the other hand Israel needs antisemitism and constant inflow of new immigrants to legitimize its policies and to fight its arab population demography. This puts pressure on non zionist Jews, who already have to bear with sporadic antisemitism
