I suppose I am pro-zionist to an extent, but I think real-politik may determine the status quo & not exactly what you have in mind. Whilst hamas is particularly unpalletable, it will have to change its tune soon, or be an international pariah forever. I agree that leaders of the past failed, with the one exeption of Rabin (RIP).... As far as giving up land goes, I fear 'disengagement' is the only short term solution, including the wall. At least the death rate & tempers may go down. Olmert has a tricky balancing act between apeasment & humanitarian crisis in the territories ahead - I hope he does not arogantly squander it.
