To Adam, your knowledge of the treatment of jews in the Arab world is indeed lacking. TYhey were treated as second class citizens- known as dhimmis, always persecuted, sometimes randomly killed or had their homes/businesses/synagogues attacked and were eventually kicked out. There were more than 1 million jewish refugess from the Arab world who came to Israel, which is more than twice the numbers of Arabs who fled/left israel during the 1948 war. The Arab sates told their fellow arabs to leave and return to Israel after they had killed all the Jews but unfortunately for them they lost. The Arab states created 2 refugee problems- jewish and moslem and that is why if there is ever to be REAL peace then it is these arab states that must accept responsibility- as well as their crimes of war and terrorism against Israel for the past 60 years. I sugggest that you learn more on this issue- i reccomend reading Joan Peters' "From Time immemorial the History of the Arb-Jewish conflict over Palestine"- it is a good start- try amazon http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0963624202/martinkramero-20/103-1306815-4162265 Good luck!
