On the contrary Palestine is not serious about peace. In 1993 Rabin said almost exactly what you say "Peace is made between enemies." He then embarked on a road of negotiation and compromise with the Palestinians (Arafat). All concessions that the Palestinians are now demanding were in fact offered to Arafat in 1999. He rejected them all. There has been a lot of nonsense from the Palestinians that the 1999 offer was really not generous at all and offered only a balkanized and dis-continous Palestine. Please read Dennis Ross' "The Missing Peace". It clearly shows how Arafat blatantly lied about this point. The first few pages of the book show a map that Arafat fabricated side-by-side with a map of the true offer made by Israel. Arafat was a sly man who realized people will believe just what they want to and that it is OK to just spew anything to further your cause no matter what the facts are. Surely enough, from your posting he is shown to have been correct.
