'US Consumer', you sound reasonable. So please now imagine the your neighbor across the street has mounted a rifle aimed at your child's bedroom. No bullets are loaded right this second. (I would say rocket but that's illegal in the US). Given that it is legal to own a rifle, all your other neighbors object to you building a wall to stop the bullets. The neighbor with the rifle aimed at your child is also extremely clever and knows how to manipulate and terrorize your naive neighbors. Now your neighbors will no longer buy your organic veggies at the local farmers market. This is not about respect. It is about preventing yet more murders of children. Both sides need to reach a pragmatic compromise, even tho 'pragmatic' does not exist in the Hamas theocratic dictionary. Boycotting the victims' veggie garden only servers to drive people like me away from the 'peace' camp and into Lieberman's arms.
