My dear friend, you are 100% correct. If peaceful coexistance between the nations in the region was something easy to acheive after thousands of years of hostilities, this would have been acheived by now for sure. What better alternative exists (not for me in Malta and you in Holland) but for the people in continuous conflict other than painful negotiations. Have the past wars solved anything? On the contrary they created more animosity. Nothing is easy. Imposed treaties never hold. Are the peoples (not their governments) of these states happy with the current situation. Do they want more war and sufferings? It's up to these people to decide their future. May your God bless you
