The new government may be less anti-democratic then its predecessor but anyone expecting wholesale changes will be sadly disappointed. From its inception, Israel has never wanted to treat all its citizens equally, in recent years it has become apparent that it will no longer even consider a peace formula based on the green line with negotiated land swaps and East Jerusalem as capital of Palestine and it will never be prepared to stop feather-bedding the haredim. The nature of Israel's soul is known to all, anyone who thinks that it will change is deluding themselves.
