And it's also time to remember that, at the time of his offenses, Pollard was a US citizen in a trusted position who was bought and paid for by the Israeli government. He was denied asylum by Israel (nobody loves a traitor, no matter what the flag) but later he was rewarded Israeli citizenship and converted into nothing less than a hero. And when you make someone a hero, you trumpet them as a role model. And now the government that spurned him at his most dire moment wants to welcome him as a vindicated hero, no doubt with parades and interviews and other celebrations. It's not going to happen.
