Unlike most of the fanatics who come here to scribble messages of hate and racism, I am always saddened when innocent people lose their lives and it makes me very angry. Unlike the extremists here, I feel equally sad when an innocent Jew get blown up just as much as when it?s a Palestinian. There is something called human sympathy and I just think it?s appalling that innocent people get killed in any conflict. In an ideal world, all civilians should be spared and military action should be confined to the battlefield where professional soldiers fight it out. Sadly we don?t live in an ideal world. Most people here like to take a particular incident like the bombing 2 days ago out of context in order to justify certain practices. The occupation and the displacement of Palestinians did not start in order to stop suicide bombing. In fact it started several decades before the suicide bombing ever became a weapon in the conflict. If one were to apply the theory of cause and effect then one would conclude that the displacement and subjugation of the Palestinians people is the root cause of the conflict. Suicide bombing and terrorism are the logical out come of the occupation. Id' like to leave people here with two quotes from 2 distinguished Israeli leaders. * Don't allow yourself to be fed bullshit about Israel not being built at the expense of the Arabs. If I were a Palestinians Tel Aviv would be blowing up every ten minutes. The late General Ezer Weizman in a conversation with the British journalist Winston Churchill. *The Palestinians will ultimately use terrorism to fight Israeli rule. This is exactly what I would do if I were in their place. The late Moshe Dayan during a frank exchange with the late foreign minister Abba Eban.
