It's time for the U.S. and Israel to go their separate ways. It will be healthier for both countries. By distancing herself from Israel, the U.S. will no longer be blamed for Israel's actions. By not giving Israel money, selling her weapons, or blocking the will of the majority of nations in the U.N., much of the hatred against the U.S. will subside. Americans will be safer. Converserly, by distancing herself from the U.S., Israel can pursue her own interests without the objections or interference of the U.S. Israel can expand its building on Palestinian land and take actions for national security reasons without the fear of losing U.S. "carrots" or support. The decades of interference in each other's business has lead to an unhealthy co-dependence that must end.
