Thats the problem when you learn about Islam from it's critics. Just like learning Judaism from a Buddhist monk. It just doesnt work that way. Also, your views of Dhimmis are distorted. People of the Book is a respected status given to non-Muslims to freely practice their religion and be protected by their Muslim majority. The Dhimmis were taxed and so does the Muslims. It was the Muslims who allowed the Jews to return to Jerusalem after they were expelled by the Byzantines. And if you were to learn Islam from Muslims, you'll know that Islam and human rights are the same thing. The idea of islam is to live democratically under God. Not under Man. The problem in the Middle East today is not about religion. It's about Politics and who has control over natural resources. Saudi and Iran, though claiming to run an Islamic government does not actually practice the Islam from the Koran. Saudi's are the carriers of the sect Wahabbism which is not the traditional Islam that was preached by the Prophet Muhammad. As for Iran's "Islamic government", it's more of an Islamic/communist hybrid and totally unislamic. Learn the facts first before criticizing. It does make you look stupid posting these ignorant remarks.
