Please consider the Liquid Salt Thorium Reactors. These are safe, you cannot make bombs out of them, their wastes are 1% of a conventional Light Water Reactor, like Fukushima. Strontium and Neodymium are valuable industrial elements. They are the daughter elements of Thorium fusion. If this technology were promoted we could get countries away from the ruinous and expensive Light Watter Reactors which are based on uranium and plutonium. A cynical side of me asks 'does not the military-industrial complex actually want the wasteful L W Rs to stay in place so as to justify the tax cuts and the enormous salaries involved'?. Yes I know, the Bush administraion will hang, draw and quarter me after the next election.
