read your posts.Cuts through to the basics.Cipora does not seem to realise that Israel's militarism is at variance with the ideals of democracy and enlightenment.Quite right,it is archaic and even Manichaen because like many others on this Talk Back they have not moved into the 21st century and its ideas of universalism. They are still locked into the particularism(tribalism) of their past history. Re: Tosefta.I find his views inconsistent.Until the Gaza takeover he was seen as an 'apologist' for Hamas, trying to explain their evolution to political moderation(recall his views on Darwin etc.)Now, suddenly he is talking about building up Abbas on the West Bank, although he knows quite well their past history of corruption and israel's perfidy. And thus he places the onus now on Hamas behaving itself like a good little kid.Note: the phrase 'the Abbas way.' Also, on another thread, the Senate rejecting clusters for Israel he advocated some other method of getting clusters! Unbelievable!
