By law, the US cannot fund terrorist organizations. It looks like my taxes will no longer be funding the Palestinians, which is fine by me. The interesting part is now that a terrorist organization has gained control, how will they manage routine governmental affairs? How will a group obsessed with destroying people and property and the culture of death and hatred handle the responsibility of managing resources and doing positive things? This is a fundamental conflict of purpose. Perhaps Hamas will now be forced to change, due to their new circumstances. Or maybe I am too much of an optimist... I would hope Hamas falls flat on their faces, just like Fatah did, and the Palestinian people finally wise up and choose more moderate leaders.
