When it comes to the actual land - then it's Israel. But when we have to pay our Palestinian laborers (or for that matter afford them any rights) - why, we're actually in Jordan! How convenient! This is an Israeli trick that most countries have never used because of its shamefulness: Having your cake and eating it too (living in Israel and in Jordan simultaneously). As an Israeli Jew, I look forward to the day that settlements such as Ma'aleh Adumim and Ariel (among many others) are dismantled and the entire West Bank finally given over to the Palestinians so a viable state can emerge. Until such time, I am sickened anew every time I hear about the "beautiful", "prosperous" and "pristine" settlements sitting in the heart of Palestinian-owned lands.
