One doesn't have to look far to see that Obama's inclination to "Blame Israel" is still operative. They're still blaming Israel for the absence of negotiations when it's the PALESTINIANS who won't sit down to talk. Obama still refuses to recognize the Bush-Sharon understandings, which would prevent the regular dust-ups (like that last week) when Israel announces housing in Jewish neighborhoods that "everyone knows" will remain part of Israel. And it shows its face when Obama dispatches Defense Sec. Panetta to press Israel to end its isolation from Egypt and Turkey when it is *they* that have elected to downgrade their relations with Israel. Obama insiders keep insisting they "encourage" or even "urge" Israel's neighbors to do this or that to cool things down, but when they refuse, the default policy is to turn to Israel to press *Israel* to appease them. That's not "pro-Israel" to me.
