Hamas is under pressure twice over, from both the worsening domestic situation in the Strip and the militant organization potentially losing its main threat against Israel.23:32 03.05.16 | 0 comments
Hamas' offer of a truce was immediately rejected by israel because it would mean that israel had no more reason to occupy and invade the Palestinian territory. Nothing surprising to see that israel continues with its intentions to deligitimise the Palestinian elected govt and to increase the divide between the Hamas and Fatah factions. It is now blatantly obvious that isRael prefers war to peace, with the glaring reality that settlements and land-grabs are the objective instead. The lame duck excuse that israel needs to increase the distance between itself and its enemies is a perpetual excuse to steal land, since the further you push the neighbouring forces away simply increases the distance that the incoming rockets are able to achieve, which in turn gives israel another opportunity to "push back" the resistance and to steal more lands.
