Part of the problem is the attitude of the doctors and other academics that the ordinary public come into contact with on a daily basis. They hold themselves high, patronize the working class. Talk a non-every day version of Hebrew. This situation use to exist in other countries, until higher education was made available to a larger section of the public, and stopped being something special. The day when mothers will stop boasting "my sons at university" will be the day when all this snobbery from the academics, and reverse snobbery from the rank and file will be the day when this problem will have ended.
