...and it's too bad more people aren't asking it. Anat is absolutely right that the best hope from this point is the relationship between Israeli and Palestinian civil societies. The brave people who've been working quietly to build understanding, and who've been willing to meet face-to-face despite great opposition from extremists on both sides, are unsung heroes. Good job, Anat, for being one of those people, and for asking a question that most analysts and commentators completely miss. I hope this won't be the last article we see from you in Ha'aretz. Best of luck, and perhaps one day in the future our paths will cross.
