A Palestinian teen who tried to stab an Israeli woman in the West Bank was run over and shot to death. Her father, imam of the refugee camp where she grew up, says his daughter was 'responding to the occupation.'04:30 28.11.15 | 0 comments
His first mistake was using force, rather than simply citing Hamas actions (rocket attacks the military wing's action)to sustain Hamas's government isolation. This lead him into the same response/trap vs Hizbollah. He listend to popular yet wrong Israeli opinion. He is now following a failure of nerve amongst the Israeli public in undermining the only sane course for Israel - limiting the level of occupation to that needed for Israeli security. The settlements beyond the fence, in no way add to Israel's security. With or without them the IDF is in the Jordan Valley and runs checkpoints as determined for security reasons. There is no Hamas or Hizbollah with rockets in the WB and no intent to withdraw the IDF anyway. He needed to state this and lead. Now the popular line is less stress and hide away and sulk after their will to use IDF force to assert Israeli machismo did not go well. Pathetic. Are the Israeli people?s attitudes the problem?
