Okay, some Yeshiva prepares a group of women to serve as "social worker-counselors- yadda yadda yadda" in the community. Got news for the editors of HaAretz. It's been happenin' all along. The wives of community rabbis were short stoppin' the women before they reached thier husbands, and . . . in some cases they were the venue for women that felt more comfortable with "the rebbetzin" than they were with the rabbi. Then too, in Seminaries for girls, and in the community it's obvious that there were "Western Walls" that a woman knew they could see, women that were known to be sources of comfort and advice. All the above was sub rosa, nobbody had to know about it. Okay, you "knew" but it was no biggy. Today when everything hangs out for some reason unknown to me, at least, you give the function a title.
