    refusal on the part of the Muslim-Arab world to accept the Jewish people's right to national self-determination and independence on any parcel of land of this country. The Golan was under Syria's control in 1948, but it used it to attack Israel, hoping to annihilate it then. The Golan was under Syria's control in 1967, but once again, as part of the Egypt-Syria-Jordan coalition it initiated a war that was designed to eliminate the Jewish state. If and when the Syrians accept Israel's right to be, to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people, based incidentally on decisions reached by the League of Nations in the early 1920s and by the United Nations in the late 1940s, then we shall have something to talk about. But presently Syria is situating itself with the darkest of forces in the world, those calling for the demise of the nearly six-million Jews of Israel; not unlike the calls the world heard in the 1930s coming from Germany. Will the international community react...??
