Discriminaton and racism are built into what zionism has become today in Israel. That is my point. The state and the people of Israel would prefer a new arrival from Russia with one or two Jewish grandparent and no connection to Judaism rather than an Ethiopian who has held onto Jewish tradition for over 2000yrs. It has nothing to do with the fact that of course there are good people in Israel who find this racist mentality abhorent. The deplorable factor is that the government is and can only be with its right wing xenophobic ideology that controls the state and society racist advocating an apartheid system.
