It's hard to see what the two will have to say to each other. Ariel, in its totality, is illegitimate, illegal. Israel actively supports Ariel and encourages citizens with economic incentives to move to the settlements. The Palestinians may not oppose this with force and, it's now clear, they may not oppose it with peaceful demonstrations either. The Knesset is stewing with ideas about coming down on human rights groups as being somehow traitorous. All the while we are told that Israel is a law abiding democracy, standing tall among the family of nations. My impression, correct me if I'm wrong, is that democracies allow protest and that boycotts are legal.
