Informed people outside Israel can readily distinguish between the various factions within Israel, just as they are able to recognize the varyiing perspectives held by citizens within other countries. Jewish people in the US are not a homogeneous group. I wouldn't expect that they would be. Yet we do recognize that the Settler sub-population seems to be a group that is often violent and infringes on the rights of others.People in other countries seem to perceive that group as reflecting poorly on the values of Israelis.
