And it is very clear that Cantor is not listening, becasue Cantor is insisting that the USA send a "message" to "the world" that it is an Israeli glove-puppet on every issue. Look, Cantor, this is simple: 1) the USA has signed the NTP 2) it is in the USA's national interest that everyone else signs, and 3) ISRAEL IS REFUSING TO SIGN. There is therefore no "shared value" on this issue, and Obama is correct to point that. Meanwhile, YOU appear to be arguing that the USA must always and ever suborn its national interest to that of Israel's merely to ensure that the "right message" goes out to "the world". Petraeus is telling you exactly how that "message" is being received out there in "the world", and it ain't flattering to Uncle Sam. Maybe it's time you listened to him rather than to AIPAC, hmmm? A radical idea, I know, but maybe it's an idea whose time has come....
