El Al's problem is not its ontime performance. Regarding the splitting idea, one has to remember that Mr Blumenkranz likes to make big announcements based on...nothing. And if such a concept is actually in discussion, I doubt it will be implemented. Seems doomed to failure. Btw...what came out of "El Al basic"...?
