This is a farce. There is only one person that has been adamant about keeping Pollard locked up and it is not Biden. - Comment - Israel News | Haaretz Daily Newspaper

Netanyahu said that he lobbied Bill Clinton at the Wye River conference for a pardon for Pollard. Clinton has denied this happened. He said that Netanyahu lobbied him at Wye River for a pardon for Marc Rich, and Clinton did then pardon Marc Rich. The Marc Rich pardon was far more controversial than a Pollard pardon would have been. For whatever reason, until Netanyahu most recently became PM, Pollard had "Dry Bones" cartoons on his web site mocking Netanyahu. There is no love lost between Netanyahu and Pollard, although, of course, Netanyahu goes through the motions of seeking a Pollard release. Somehow there is always some America official, whether it be Biden, or Tenent, or Casper Weinberger, or several others, that "block" a Pollard pardon. It is Netanyahu that doesn't want Pollard out of prison. It is not hard to see this for yourself in Netanyahu's words and actions. For what it's worth, Pollard should remain in prison for his crimes, but Bibi has more personal reasons for his position. There have been a ton of lies on the Pollard issue, most of them told by Pollard himself and his "wife".
