As a Jew, I feel that since we are so confident of who we are and what our heritage is, we can in fact, make fun of ourselves, and feel quite secure about it. One could argue that we are making clowns of ourselves, when we should be standing up to the Iranian attempt to stoke the flames of anti-semitism. But remember this: If we were afraid of that which we have lived by all our lives as being false, or exposed as a fabrication, then a lot of us would probably be torching flags and blowing places up, in an effort to disuade any attempt to damage an already weak claim further.

'Let's drop the illusion, settler leader Dani Dayan won't serve as envoy to Brazil'

MK Tzachi Hanegbi says Israel shouldn't waste time waiting for Brasilia to accept Dayan's appointment, and instead assign him to a diplomatic position 'in a capital no less important.'
