It claims that Netanyahu did not climb down until he extracted compensations from Obama, to wit: (1) Israel has the right to self-defense if the cease-fire is violated: This is a mantra, and every country has the right of self-defense and the right to resist occupation. So it means nothing. (2) Obama promised to increase U.S. military assistance to Israel, especially regarding the prevention of arms smuggling into Gaza: Vague promise which says nothing tangible. Provide more money? More technology of detection, which Israel already has? More satellite photographs, which Israel already gets? Exactly what? (3) Obama promised that he will find further funding to purchase more Iron Dome and other anti-missile systems: The US was going to do that anyway. The Jewish lobby is buying that concession from Congress. Obama doesn't have to look far. What the article does not mention is that Obama did nothing - absolutely nothing - to extricate Netanyahu from the hole he dug for himself. Israel was NOT allowed to launch a land offensive. The bombing was more restrained than at any similar operation. Israel’s hands were tied. Everything was left in the kind hands of Morsi, who made sure Israel accepted 3 of Hamas's 5 far-reaching demands. On this note, dear Israelis, I say salam shalom, ferverently plead with you: Please do vote for Bibi. He's the best thing that ever happened to Palestine.

from the article: Cease-fire agreement almost identical to that reached in Operation Cast Lead
