Does the US really think Assad is going to give up his only WMD, and leave his regime naked militarily. Ether Assad hopes by the time the chemical weapons are to be handed over he will have won Syria's civil war, so that his hand will be so politically strong he will refuse to hand over the weapons. Or the more likely, someone somewhere has promised him something much better than Sarin nerve gas. But what ever the outcome one thing is clear Obama is damaged, and it's one nil to Russia on the diplomatic front, and a politically, and diplomatically weakened US is bad news for Israel.
