I don't believe the purpose of sanctions is to weaken Hamas, here are the indicators: 1)Hamas; an ideologic entity, flourishes and wins more Palestinian public support when it is pressured in this fashion. 2)If Israel wanted to weaken Hamas, it would have interferred during the internal clashes last June, nevertheless, I live in a border area north of Gaza, and for the first time I felt my TV satellite channels were received with absolutely no Israeli fighter jet interruption (to me, that was a sign of IDF not wanting even to watch what was going on the ground between Hamas and Fatah). Finally, let's not fool ourselves, Neither Palestinians nor Israelis have free well to choose when to strike peace agreement without American endorsement,I strongly believe that the Annapolis summit will produce, and for the first time, a real breakthrough, particularly that everybody in this region needs real opportunity to bring things back to basics: let's resolve real issues, engaging everybody.
