Not even the Naftali Bennetts of this world have any interest in ruling over the Palestinian Arabs or offering the vast majority of them Israeli citizenship. It was Einstein who once said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. The sad fact is that the Palestinian Arabs have been offered partition in one form or another about seven time over the last 70+ years and each time they have categorically rejected it. I do not honestly believe that Abbas, whose own power is somewhat tenous, would accept partition for other than tactical reasons - a form of "taqiyya". While the mainstream press keep repeating that the settlements are making some form of partition impossible, the fact is that the vast majority of Jewish residents of the West Bank live in area C which makes up 60% of the land mass of the West Bank. This area is home to no more than 150k Palestinian Arabs at most. These are facts that the majority of the world are either ignorant of or willfully choose to ignore. While the rest of the world will not support it, Bennett's plan is not without merit. It would allow Israel to retain areas of strategic topograhical importance while defusing the "demographic time bomb". One must realize that our neighbor to the east has a population that is 70% Palestinian Arab and that in the wake of the Arab Spring the days of Kings and other despots, however benevolent, are numbered. So in due time, the Palestinian Arabs cannot complain with any merit that they have no breathing space. Lastly, with all due respect to international law, I don't see why one should reward the Palestinian Arabs and their bretheren for the multiple attempts to eliminate us, which to date thankfully have failed.
